　　On April 18, 2015, at the invitation of Prof. Yu Xiang, director of Chinese-German institute for intellectual property, school of management, former head of patent experts Dr. Beda Bischof, who is currently the senior IP expert in Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, visited school of management and delivered a lecture named "IP in Switzerland and Europe".

　　Lecture started on time, the host prof. Yu Xiang first made a brief introduction of prof. Desantes and his great achievements. The audience expressed the warmest welcome to the international friend who has deep relationship with China. In order to inspire the audience, Dr. Beda Bischof gave a brief Overview of Switzerland, and then introduced intellectual property system in Switzerland and made a comparison with China’s IP system. Switzerland is not only the member of European Patent System, but also the member of World Patent System. Dr. Bischof introduced the IP law in Switzerland patent system from a worldwide view, including how to apply and protect patents, the pharmaceutical patent extension system and so on.For the relationship between Swiss government and Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, Dr. Bischof also introduced the political system of Switzerland. At last, Dr. Bischof explained the IP strategy management in Switzerland, for example, how to collect information，make IP strategy , prepare for the worst case and create special IP combination. At the same time, people need prepare plan B in case of infringement.

　　After the lecture, Dr. Bischof used limited time to answer the questions from audience patiently and won warmest applause . Prof. Yu summarized the lecture and expressed sincere thanks to Dr. Bischof. The audience includes the students form the management school and law school in HUST.
