On July 30, 2011, Prof. Xiang YU attended Hubei Political Consultative Conference as a member of the standing committee and was invited to give a lecture on The Development of High Tech and The Change of Economic Development Mode. At the meeting, Prof. Xiang YU introduced the development trend and its′traits of high tech in the world today as well as the state of high tech development in China. The impressive lecture has combined theory with practice and analyzed the significance of new high-tech industry in bringing about a change in the mode of economic growth.

First vice-chairman Li Youcai presided over the meeting. All the members of standing committee attended the meeting and listened to the lecture.
