November 4th, 2008: Prof. Xiang Yu, Director, Chinese-German Institute of Intellectual Property, visited United Nation University (UNU), Tokyo to deliver a speech in the First Seminar of the International Cooperative research project Institutional Infrastructure for IPR -Based Development in Asia: An Empirical Study of National Patent Systems which organized by WIPO.

Prof. Xiang Yu was officially employed as a Consultant by WIPO to participate in this research project. The project aims to support the coordination of international patent system through in-depth comparative study of the concerned countries in order to serve as a base for technological progress and economic development.

November 2, Prof. Xiang Yu was also invited by Hokkaido University School of Law to make a presentation titled Enforcement of Design Protection in Chinese Auto Market - Judgment of the Similarity of Auto Designs.
