Prof. Dr. Xiang YU Attended International Intellectual Property Meeting in Taibei

  Invited by Institutum Iurisprudentiae, Academia Sinica (IIAS) of Taiwan, Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property of German, and NTU Collage of LAW, Prof. Xiang Yu, Director of Chinese-German Institute of Intellectual Property, went to Taibei to attend the International Meeting The Enforcement of Patent Rights in Asia and Beyond, Professor Xiang Yu gave a presentation entitled The Development of Patent Enforcement in China - Based on the 2010 Judicial Interpretation of the Supreme Court for Judging Patent Infringement Cases and the 2009 Patent Act.

  Guests from Germany, Australia, Japan, Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong gave reports, they analyzed and compared the latest developments in implementation of patent protection, discussed the possibility of making regional cooperation in patent law enforcement in Asia. They also answered participants’ questions. It was warmly welcomed by participants from Taiwan Intellectual Property Office, Law firms, Intellectual Property Scholars and other intellectual property professionals.

  To take this opportunity of visiting TaiWan, Professor Xiang Yu make extensive exchanges with professors and scholars from National Taiwan University(NTU), National Tsing Hua University(NTHU), National Chengchi University(NCCU), National Chiao Tung University(NCTU) and some Intellectual Property Corporations from Taiwan, which further enhance the mutual understanding of the Mainland and Taiwan, and lay a good foundation for further communication and cooperation.
