On the afternoon of December 12, the vice president of Belgium Université catholique de Louvain Prof. Benoît Macq and the director of international affairs department Mr.Julien Derouaux Visited the School of Management. They visited the Chinese-German Institute for Intellectual Property and had a symposium with teachers and students of the institute in room 411. The vice dean Prof. Yang Zhi and Prof. Yuan Xiaodong attended this symposium and Dr.Liu Xin accompanied this visit.

At first, Prof. Benoît Macq visited the Chinese-German Institute for Intellectual Property, Dr. Liu Xin briefly introduced the institute、its culture and main researches. Then they toured the Anheuser-Busch library of Management school, the chief librarian introduced this library, as well as the collection and use. After that, Prof Prof. Benoît Macq and Mr.Julien Derouaux visited the office of Prof. Yu Xiang, the director of Chinese-German Institute for Intellectual Property, who was on a business trip to Europe.

Next, Prof. Benoît Macq moved to meeting room411 and held a symposium with teachers and students of the institute which aim to promote the cooperation between two universities in the aspects of intellectual property, image processing as well as optoelectronic field. Prof.Yang Zhi expressed his warmly welcome to Prof. Benoît Macq and Mr.Julien Derouaux on behalf of school of management followed by Dr.Liu Xin’s short presentation about the researches and projects undertaken by Chinese-German Institute for Intellectual Property in recent years. Prof Prof. Benoît Macq expressed appreciation for the achievement of the institute and made a introduction of his university- Université catholique de Louvain.

At last, Prof. Yang Zhi and Prof. Benoît Macq exchanged gifts and took a group picture with all attendees.
