Prof. Dr. Christophe Geiger is currently Professor of Law at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome, Founder and Director of the Innovation Law and Ethics Observatory (ILEO), and a Spangenberg Fellow in Law & Technology at the Spangenberg Center for Law, Technology & the Arts, Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He taught for many years at the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) of the University of Strasbourg, where he served as Full Professor of Law from 2015 to 2021. He is a founding member of the European Copyright Society and the European Intellectual Property Institutes Network (EIPIN). From 2022 to 2024, he served as President of the International Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property (ATRIP), and from 2008 to 2022, he was an Affiliated Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich.

Prof. Dr. Christophe Geiger is an internationally renowned scholar in intellectual property law. His main research interests include national, European, international and comparative intellectual property and copyright law, as well as competition law, human rights law, international trade law, European Union law, and intellectual property and new technologies. He has long been active in the international intellectual property academic community and has engaged in teaching and academic exchange at numerous universities, including Harvard Law School, New York University School of Law, the University of Cambridge, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, the University of Copenhagen, Singapore Management University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He has also served as an external expert for the European Parliament and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Professor Geiger has published extensively in the field of intellectual property law and has authored and edited numerous academic works published by internationally renowned publishers, including Edward Elgar Publishing, LexisNexis, Springer, and Dalloz. He has also served as editor or co-editor of several academic book series on intellectual property law and has been actively involved in the editorial and peer-review work of a number of international intellectual property law journals. He enjoys broad academic influence in the fields of European and international intellectual property law.
