
Professor Heinz Goddar is a German patent attorney and a European patent and trademark attorney. He is a partner in the law firms Boehmert & Boehmert and Forrester & Boehmert in Germany. Professor Goddar has a technical background in physics and physical chemistry, in which he also obtained his doctoral degree. Prior to serving as a professor and patent attorney assistant at the polymer department of the University of Mainz in Germany, he was one of the senior partners of the firm, specialising in international patent licensing matters, including litigation and arbitration. He also serves as a lay judge in the patent division of the German Federal Court of Justice and as a senior advisor to the German Industrial Investment Committee (IIC), where he is primarily responsible for advisory work in the life sciences and chemistry fields. In addition, he holds the position of honorary professor in patent licensing law at the University of Bremen and lectures at the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center in Germany. He is also a guest professor at Santa Clara University in California (USA), the University of Washington in Seattle (USA), National Chengchi University in Taipei (China), and Tokai University in Tokyo (Japan). Furthermore, he has served as Chairman of LES Germany and LES International.
